Doris Pacheco (Johnson) - Class Of 1958

Doris E. Johnson, 70, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at her residence in North Vernon, Indiana. Mrs. Johnson was born September 2, 1940, in Fort Sumner, New Mexico the daughter of Juan and Dixie (Harris) Pacheco. She married Louis C. Johnson on December 12, 1962 in North Vernon, Indiana. He survives. Mrs. Johnson worked as a Team Leader for N.A.C. in North Vernon, Indiana retiring in 2000 after six years. She had previously worked for the North Vernon Plain Dealer & Sun in the dark room for 13 years. She graduated High School in 1958 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. She was a member of the Matt Hester Post #2021, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ladies Auxiliary in North Vernon, Indiana. Her enjoyments included knitting and crocheting, oil painting, playing bingo and spending time with her family. Surviving with her husband are three sons, David Louis Roybal and his wife Phyllis of Clovis, New Mexico, Martin Johnson and Scott Johnson both of North Vernon, Indiana; three daughters, Deborah Delagarza of Houston, Texas, Colleen Simpson and Tammy Lehman both of North Vernon, Indiana; one brother, Daniel J. Pacheco of New Mexico; four sisters, Rita Garcia and Tina Gonzalez both of New Mexico, Mary Louise Plumb of Arizona and Elizabeth Holder of Colorado; ten grandchildren, Chris Lehman of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Jake Mathews of Houston, Texas, Archie and Fernando Roybal of Clovis, New Mexico, Kyle Eder of Brownstown, Indiana, Cory, Thomas and Orin Johnson, Devon and Denza Simpson all of North Vernon, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, David Pacheco and sister, Helen Newberry. Funeral Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Sorrells officiating. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made through the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home to Hospice of Jennings County.
