Comments:

Married 12/60, had a daughter 11-61, and a son on 10/66. Lived in NM before moving to Colorado in 1969 where I lived until 1986. Also lived 2 years (1976-1978) in Salem, Oregon which I really enjoyed. Oregon has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world.

First marriage ended. Remarried in 1985 and came to live in Albuquerque 2/86 as this is where George's job was. When George retired in 2001 we moved here to Belen and built our home.

Would love to return to live in Colorado and we just might do that! Still have many close friends there.

We've done quite a bit of traveling in US, Europe, New Zealand and Israel.

Really think I am Gypsy at least part Gypsy and that they left me on a doorstep in Ft. Sumner! I love to travel, see new people, new cultures, hear their music and taste their foods, experience the different scenery. Hope to do much more.

School Story:

I left Fort Sumner Dec. 1960 in my junior year. Finished school 2 years later.

Went to Nursing School and had a wonderful career, retiring in 1996.

Did hospital and clinical nursing and last 5 years of my working I worked in personnel management in nurse recruitment for Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque.

Last Visit to Fort Sumner:

2012

Our backyard. Growing roses is one of my hobbies, as is photography.

Sunset from our backyard.

Mountain you can see in the sunset is Ladrones Peak but I've renamed it Mt. Sinai (where Moses got 10 Commandments) as it looks just like it from a distance.

Our Mimosa tree. We got it when just a sapling, now it is a huge umbrella and flowers are so pretty

Rocky Mountains in Colorado from right outside Monte Vista. This is the view you see daily there. I think this was taken in early June.

If you click on photo you can get a better view.

Again, if you click photo you get a better view.

This is Home Lake in Monte Vista. Home Lake Veterans Center is right next door among all the pine trees you can see in background.

I used to work there occasionally on weekends doing medications and treatments. Found it enjoyable to be around those old soldiers.
